Do you love gardens, plants, and talking to others about gardening?
Do you wait anxiously for plant and seed catalouges to come in the mail, and then spend hours pouring over the pages?
Do you wish you knew more about plants and how they grow?
Then contact us and find out if you should become a Master Gardener.
You will have the chance to learn, interact with other passionate gardeners, and share your knowledge with the general public.
If you want to get involved without studying to become a Master Gardener, you can join as a "Friend of the CDMGs".
Download an application and become part of our growing family.

What's in it for you?

  • You can make a difference in someone's life.  When a long-time gardener tells you they learned more about gardening in the few minutes they spoke with you, than all the years they had been gardening- that is payment for all the hard work you put into becoming a MG.
  • Connecting with like-minded people.  Can't find friends that are plant crazy as you are?  As soon as you join our group, you will connect online with Master Gardeners not only locally, but across Ontario. We connect via emails, in person at events, on FACEBOOK, our discussion forum, and through "Go To Meeting" free for all members.
  • Express yourself. MGs are creative people.  If you love to express yourself in the garden then you'll enjoy seeing how others get creative in their gardens.
  • Do you want to get to know people in your own town/city?  Becoming a Master Gardener will get you out talking with the people in your own community.  You will make new aquaintances and people will know your name before they even meet you.
  • Input your own ideas into the group.  Everyone has their own ideas when it comes to gardening and we encourage you to get involved with your own projects.  Join the conversation, become a Master Gardener in Training today!
